Textiles reflection 21/9

I found day 2 of textiles to be more enjoyable than I initially expected. Although I was initially apprehensive and wasn't sure how mark-making on paper would link to the project, it seemed to make more sense by the end of the day as each of our ideas was developed. After watching videos from Issey Miyake's website I gained at least some greater insight into what interested people about textile-related things seeing the process from 2D to 3D designs that were altered by the models' movements. I believe that the day's main focus was investigating the different forms that materials can make, in this case surrounding the body. I've found it a challenge to be comfortable using less common materials within the course although I know it's important to expand out of my comfort zone and am trying to keep an open mind. Overall, I enjoyed how the day concluded as all of our previous drawings, photoshoots, and weavings served a clear purpose.
